Definition

RICE (Reach, Impact, Confidence, Effort) is a prioritization formula developed at Intercom. Each candidate scores Reach (how many users), Impact (magnitude per user), Confidence (how sure are we), and Effort (person-months). Score = R x I x C / E. Product Ops often operationalizes RICE as the default triage scorecard for feedback and feature requests, especially when sales and success have competing asks.
